Updated 27 October 2026: Read the new report: DAAD EPOS 2027/28: Check Work-Experience Evidence Before Applying. The original news below is retained for reference.
Reviewed 22 October 2026. DAAD's official EPOS entry links the participating postgraduate course information for 2027/2028. Applicants should check the scholarship deadline and application method for each chosen programme. There is no single closing date that should be assumed for every course.
The participating-course document distinguishes scholarship and self-financing information, and many entries direct applicants to the programme website. A general university admission date may differ from the funding timetable. Save the exact instruction for the intake you intend to join.
EPOS has academic and professional-experience conditions, so review eligibility before spending time on a full application. Connect your course choice with the development-related work you have actually done. A generic motivation letter sent to unrelated programmes is unlikely to explain that fit clearly.
Request transcripts, experience evidence and references early. Record which documents are pending and who needs to provide them. Set an internal completion date that leaves room to correct a missing signature or an upload problem.
If a relevant deadline has passed, investigate another suitable programme or a later cycle. Do not choose an unrelated course merely because it remains open. Our Germany EPOS application guide explains shortlist building, motivation letters and funding preparation. The English test planning guide helps organise any required language evidence. This is a deadline-planning review, not a claim that every EPOS application is currently open.
