Finland Autumn 2027: Prepare for the 7-21 January Joint Round

Students planning English-taught study in Finland should check whether their intended programme belongs to the main joint application or follows a separate route. The official 2027 preparation guidance, checked on 29 October, lists 7–21 January 2027 for many programmes beginning in autumn 2027.

The application month should not be confused with the teaching start. These January applications concern autumn entry. Some institutions organise separate or rolling applications with different schedules, including opportunities that may begin in late 2026.

Research the programme before the form opens

Use the official bachelor's and master's admissions overview and the course information at Studyinfo. Record eligibility, selection tasks, language evidence, tuition and scholarship rules alongside the actual application period.

Request missing academic records now and identify whether an entrance examination, interview or other evidence is required. A programme's title alone does not explain its selection method or whether your background fits. Contact the institution with a precise question where the published requirements leave uncertainty.

This is a preparation reminder, not an announcement that the January joint round is already open. Applicants should compare total study costs and the appropriate residence-permit requirements before making commitments. Follow the chosen programme's current instructions rather than a general country deadline graphic.
